Dr. Sabina de Vries is an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University – San Antonio. She received her B.A. in Psychology, Masters in Community Counseling, and Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. de Vries is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), LPC Supervisor, and a National Certified Counselor. Dr. de Vries has an extensive background in clinical work in private practice as well as providing counseling services to the homeless and survivors of domestic violence. Currently, part of her small but busy private practice is dedicated to providing pro bono counseling services to active and retired military personnel and their families. Dr. de Vries has published and presented in the areas of homelessness, domestic violence, PTSD, wellness, and clinical applications of emotionally focused therapy.
