Biography
Camilla A. Montoya was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and moved to the United States to attend college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Upon completing her degree, she taught English, French, Spanish and Portuguese at a language school in Brazil, after which she returned to the U.S. and started her career in higher education marketing. Following these experiences, and after having completed a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership at Our Lady of the Lake University, she transitioned to a faculty position, teaching courses such as Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Cross-cultural Psychology, Research Methods, and Gender Studies. She is the editor and co-author of Silencing Gender, Age, Ethnicity and Cultural Biases in Leadership. Camilla is also a trained mediator, and currently teaches First-year Seminar courses at Texas A&M-San Antonio.
