I graduated summa cum laude with my bachelor's degree in history from Texas A&M University-San Antonio in 2015. The following fall I entered the University of Texas at San Antonio's history master's program where I graduated magna cum laude in 2018. I am currently a PhD candidate at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. My area of interest is the American Southwest. In particular, I am interested in Texas during the late-eighteenth and early-nineteenth century. My research engages how social constructions of race, ethnicity, class, gender, and sexuality intersect to influence the process of community and identity formation.
