Ernest Vasquez is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Computing and Cyber Security (CCS) at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Ernest is a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force serving as the Senior Liaison for Air Force Bases in San Antonio representing the Secretary of the Air Force  Chief Data Office, Pentagon, Washington D.C. He concurrently serves as the Chief Analytics Officer to the Command Surgeon at Sixteenth Air Force (Air Forces Cyber). His teaching experience includes U.S. Air Force Basic Military Training and U.S. Air Force Officer Training School both as a Master Instructor. He has taught Business Administration at Park University and currently teaches Cybersecurity, Web Development, and the upcoming AAS Data Science program at Palo Alto College in which he assisted in the curriculum design. In addition to over 37 years in the Air Force, Ernest has over 30 years in civilian industry with companies such as USAA and Valero Energy in Software Development, Cybersecurity as well as Infrastructure and Big Data.

Colonel Vasquez serves as a senior federal partner at the National Security Collaboration Center (NSCC) at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
