FirstGenTalks is seeking motivated and relationship-driven Sales & Outreach Interns to support outreach and partnership efforts with colleges, universities, student organizations, nonprofits, and community-based programs serving first-generation students. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in sales, partnerships, business development, higher education, EdTech, marketing, communications, or startup growth strategy.


About FirstGenTalks
FirstGenTalks is an emerging EdTech and financial literacy platform designed to support first-generation students through technology, coaching, scholarship support, and financial confidence-building resources. The platform includes tools such as Budget Boss, GrantMatchED, and FinLead Academy.


Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct outreach to colleges, universities, TRIO programs, student organizations, and nonprofits
• Assist with identifying potential institutional and community partnerships
• Support recruitment and engagement efforts for student ambassadors and pilot users
• Maintain outreach tracking systems and partnership databases
• Assist with email communication, follow-up, and scheduling
• Participate in weekly strategy and team meetings
• Collaborate with marketing and community engagement teams to support growth initiatives


Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Interest in higher education, startups, entrepreneurship, or EdTech
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable with outreach and relationship-building
• Experience with Canva, Google Workspace, Airtable, LinkedIn, or CRM systems is a plus
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment


Compensation Structure:
This role includes performance-based stipend opportunities tied to outreach engagement, partnership development, and student/community activation metrics. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process.


Additional Information:
• Remote role with flexible scheduling
• Academic credit may be available depending on institutional requirements
• Due to a potential conflict of interest, current Georgia Tech students are not eligible for this opportunity.
