About 40+ Double Dutch ClubThe 40+ Double Dutch Club is a Chicago-based community organization celebrating joy, movement, and connection through double dutch jump rope, events, and cultural programming. Our work blends wellness, creativity, and community building, with a strong focus on local impact in the City of Chicago.
Internship OverviewWe are seeking paid interns who live in the City of Chicago to support community engagement, events, and digital content. This is a hybrid role that includes both in-person work at Chicago locations and virtual collaboration.
This internship is ideal for students or early-career candidates interested in events, marketing, community programs, and creative work.
Key Responsibilities• Support planning and execution of community events and activations
• Assist with social media content creation and scheduling
• Help with basic marketing, research, and outreach tasks
• Support updates to presentations, websites, and creative materials
• Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions
Required Qualifications• Must live within the City of Chicago (not suburbs)
• Ability to provide proof of Chicago residency (please do not click apply if you don't live in Chicago)
• Acceptable examples include mail, driver’s license, or state ID
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Interest in marketing, events, community engagement, or digital media
Preferred Skills• Familiarity with Canva, PowerPoint, and social platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or Facebook
• Willingness to learn new tools and techniques
• Creative mindset and attention to detail
Compensation & Schedule• Paid at Chicago minimum wage
• 20 hours per week
• Hybrid schedule with required in-person participation in Chicago
