Description
Purpose
As a Personal Lines Intern, you will support the Product department by assisting with insurance filings, tracking regulatory feedback, and supporting member communications to help ensure AAIS delivers responsive and compliant insurance products.
Responsibilities
You will assist the Personal Lines Product team in a full range of day-to-day operations, such as
• Attend team status meetings and cross-departmental meetings.
• Develop filing materials and enter documentation into designated software systems as assigned.
• Create filing and approval bulletins to communicate updates to members.
• Participate in Toastmasters to develop public speaking and presentation skills.
• Track assigned tasks and projects to ensure timely completion.
• Peer review teamworks to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.
Learning Opportunities
• Hands-on experience with product development and insurance advisory services.
• Development of professional written communication through member bulletins.
• Collaboration with product leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Programs and projects to help expand public speaking and presentation skills.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• P&C Insurance industry knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively across multiple channels and asynchronously in a remote-first working environment.
• Ability to learn and conduct market research using S&P Global.
Requirements
• Student must be enrolled in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Services, Data Analytics, or a related degree.
• Ability to work in a fully remote working environment free from distractions and access to stable and reliable internet services.
Employment Conditions
• The intern will be expected to work full-time at 37.5 hours/week over the summer, with the potential for part-time work continuing during the school year.
• This internship is classified as a temporary, part-time position.
• This internship is compensated as a non-exempt, hourly position.
• This internship position is fully remote.
Salary Description
$20/hr
