Albany International Corp. is a global advanced textiles and materials processing company. The company has two core businesses, The Machine Clothing segment is the world’s leading producer of custom-designed fabrics and belts essential to production in the paper, nonwovens, and other process industries and Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is a rapidly growing supplier of highly engineered composite parts for the aerospace industry.

Position Overview

We are seeking 5 highly motivated IT Interns to join our team.

• SW Developer (1)
• Data Analyst (2)
• IT Operations Support Specialist (2)


The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in having a career in Information Systems and its related fields. Excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving are required. Depending on the internship, the responsibilities will be:

Key Responsibilities

SW Developer

• Rewrite and/or replatform internally developed software and web applications to be cloud first. Leverage tools such as Microsoft Azure App Service. Experience in .NET framework strongly preferred.


Data Analyst

• Assist with Data Analyst / Report Writing and Conversion.


IT Operations Support Specialist

• Global IT operations and network support. Network monitoring and maintenance. Data analysis, troubleshooting, and support of ongoing network opertations and projects.
• Office and Manufacturing facility information technology support - resolve end user support issues, PC installation and troubleshooting, basic network and server maintenance.


All:

• Documentation and Reporting: Create and update documentation related to IT processes and procedures. Generate reports and analysis as needed to support GIS initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and suggest solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of GIS operations.
• Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and support additional tasks that arise within the GIS team, depending on the company’s needs and the intern’s experience.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or Engineering studies with Analytics (if applicable), or a related field, with at least two years of coursework completed.
• Minimum GPA 3.0
• Strong interest in IT and IT technology.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive and eager to learn new systems and processes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Previous experience with IT systems is a plus, but not required.
