Internship Description

About the job
Bridgeway Advisors is a Black-owned advisory firm specializing in corporate finance advisory for Fortune 500 clients. Our spring Corporate Treasury & FP&A internship program gives students hands-on work experience in two of the most important finance functions inside a company. This is a paid internship lasting 6 weeks that requires a commitment of 10 hours per week.

What are Treasury and FP&A?
Every large company has an internal finance team that keeps the business running. Corporate Treasury manages the company’s cash, liquidity, debt, and relationships with banks and investors. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) builds the budgets and forecasts and analyzes performance, which helps leadership decide where to invest and how to grow. Together, these teams sit at the center of a company’s biggest financial decisions.

We are looking for students interested in finance, but no prior experience or expertise is required. All majors are welcome to apply. We just want students with a great work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Apply by Friday, October 19th to also be considered for our Fall Capital Markets Bootcamp. Juniors and seniors who submit an application by this Friday will automatically be considered for our 4-week bootcamp starting October 21 (details below). It’s one application for both opportunities.

Description of Internship
Participants will work through a series of corporate finance and financial modeling projects similar to the work of Fortune 500 Treasury and FP&A teams. Interns will work closely with Bridgeway’s senior leaders and gain exposure to Fortune 500 companies through meetings, presentations, and case studies.
Upon completing the program, students will have the knowledge and skills needed to secure and excel in full-time corporate finance, Treasury, and FP&A positions.

Details of Intern’s Role
Candidates should expect to develop skills and experience in the following:
• Develop cash flow and liquidity forecasts like those used by corporate Treasury teams
• Analyze financial statements to evaluate company performance, capital structure, and funding needs
• Assist in preparing financial models using Excel
• Prepare presentations and management-style reporting using PowerPoint
• Conduct economic, interest rate, and market research using Bloomberg
• Meet with some of our clients
• Receive significant training and mentoring from Bridgeway senior team members

Who Should Apply
• All students are welcome to apply, with a focus on juniors and seniors
• Highly motivated candidates with a strong interest in finance and/or business
• Candidates who are resourceful and have a natural curiosity for how businesses run, a tenacious attitude toward research, and the ability to think independently
• Candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours a week for 6 weeks
• Available to start work on or before February 5, 2027
• Option to work remotely or out of our Austin, TX or New York, NY location

Upcoming Fall 2026 Finance Bootcamp
We also have a 4-week finance bootcamp from Oct 21, 2026 - Nov 24, 2026 which serves as an excellent introduction into finance and an opportunity to work with our team.

Over four weeks, students will analyze bond market data, evaluate new issuances, develop pricing recommendations, and present their conclusions directly to senior finance professionals. It's the same work you'll be expected to do as a DCM or fixed income analyst.

What You'll Work On:
• Fundamentals of bond pricing: yield, spread, duration, and how rates move prices
• Evaluating investment grade issuance trends and new deal activity
• Assessing issuer financials from a bond investor's perspective
• Building and presenting a debt financing recommendation for a real investment grade issuer
• Direct mentorship from capital markets professionals
