Role Description
Bruce Consulting Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Student Intern to join our Water Resources Engineering team for the August–December 2026 semester. This is a part-time, on-site position based in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.
The selected student will support engineers on projects involving stormwater management, drainage system design, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and flood mitigation. Responsibilities include assisting with engineering calculations, technical reports, project documentation, engineering software, and participating in field visits and site inspections.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience on real engineering projects while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative and professional environment.
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil Engineering.
• Available to work 20 hours per week.
• Strong interest in Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, or Hydraulics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or ArcGIS is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico.
