In-Churn-ship
NYC-based, In-Person
Paid at $23/hour, 8-10 hours per week
Starts June 2026 - August 2026 (3 mo period, flexible)
What is an In-Churn-Ship you ask?
I’m hiring one person to help me build Butter Girl. And no... this isn't a “go get me coffee” internship. This is not a normal internship. It’s an in-churn-ship because you will be:
• man-handling butter (photos + video, not production)
• writing about butter
• photographing butter
• everything in between
I'm looking for someone who fits into a role- someone who might not have everything figured out yet. Someone who is obsessed with social media, all things food, and just wants to create content.
Some days you’re editing a video.
Some days you’re helping me pack orders.
Some days we’re building a website page.
Some days we’re at a pop up talking to strangers about butter.
If you like knowing exactly what your day looks like, this is not for you. If you like building something from scratch, you’ll probably love it.
So, what will this role entail?
• Shoot + edit content (TikTok, IG, etc.)
• Make things look good (graphics, decks, light branding)
• Help run the website (update, tweak, fix things when they break)
• Be at pop ups / tastings / IRL moments
• Assembling PR boxes
• Responding to comments & community management
Are you right for this?
• You’re creative but also fast
• You have taste (this is important)
• You can edit, design, or figure it out quickly
• You don’t wait to be told what to do
• You’re okay with things being a little chaotic
• You want to be early to something before it blows up
Hard Requirements
• You live in NYC
• You live and breathe CapCut, Photoshop, & Wix
• You can show up in person
• You’re down to do hands-on work
Why be a Butter Girl?
• Real experience building a brand from zero
• Work you can actually put in a portfolio
• A front row seat to how a business actually gets built
• No experience but want to get into the world of content? I'm your gal.
• I'd LOVE to help you work on your portfolio and enter the world of advertising.
• Butter (a lot of it)
Expectations
• This is a part-time role, not a full-time job in disguise
• You will not be expected to be available 24/7
• We’ll prioritize the most important work each week vs trying to do everything
• The role is intentionally scoped to be focused and manageable: not full time, not always on.
• Hours will vary slightly depending on weekly needs (content shoots, pop ups, etc.), but will stay within the 8-10 hour/week range.
How to Apply
If you know me, you know that I love personality. Don't overthink it. You can send:
• Something you’ve made (video, design, anything)
• Tell me why you're passionate about butter
• Anything else you think that matters.
