Job Description
The Database Intern will be integrated within the corporate Innovation and Technology Team. This position will focus on advancing operational process improvement by leveraging AI technologies, large language models (LLMs), and automation to streamline repetitive tasks and optimize approval workflows. The primary responsibilities will center around database cleanup and restructuring to support enhanced data governance, as well as the development and implementation of AI-driven tools to improve business and engineering processes.
Responsibilities
• Support data quality, documentation, and database organization efforts
• Assist with querying, organizing, and analyzing data using SQL
• Help improve internal data workflows and reporting processes
• Develop dashboards and visualizations to support engineering and business teams
• Perform basic analytical modeling (e.g., regression, trend analysis)
• Assist in the development and implementation of computer vision algorithms and models.
• Utilize machine learning libraries and frameworks to develop computer vision models.
• Process and analyze data to train and evaluate AI models for our engineering teams to utilize.
• Provide documentation of developed AI models
• Explore and assist in the development of AI related applications, processes, and workflows that can improve our business.
• Work and collaborate within the Innovation & Technology Team to develop experimental AI models, products, and systems.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand data needs
Education Requirement
• Pursing the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
Must-haves
• Beginner experience with Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing, or Natural Language Processing.
• Familiarity with computer vision services, libraries, and frameworks.
• Foundational SQL knowledge.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Programming experience with Python (pandas, basic scripting, visualization libraries).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior AI coursework or project experience is a plus.
• Foundational Statistics knowledge and familiarity with regression/simple analytical models is a plus.
