Position: Digital Intern
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Compensation: $15.50/Hour
Duration: August - November 2026
Position Overview: Deb for New Mexico is seeking a Digital Intern to join our team working to elect Deb Haaland as Governor of New Mexico. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented and strong team players. This position requires discretion at all times and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. This position is part of the Digital Team and reports to the Digital Director as well as follows guidance from the Social Media Manager & Digital Manager. The role supports the campaign’s grassroots fundraising operation as well as social media operation by helping track media trends, tracking grassroots donor contacts and organization, assisting with data entry and other administrative tasks as needed, and assisting in staffing events for photography and videography needs. This position may require occasional travel and other campaign needs outside the described responsibilities above.

Duties and Responsibilities:
● Assist with staffing campaign events, including photography, videography, and obtaining signed photo release forms from designated participants, as directed.
● Help to create engaging social media content, including drafting posts, and designing graphics and editing video.
● Analyze performance metrics across social media channels to inform strategy and performance.
● Research new partnership opportunities with online influencers.
● Conduct research on digital trends, social media best practices, and emerging online opportunities. ● Support daily digital operations and perform administrative tasks as needed.
● Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
● Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
● Highly organized with strong attention to detail
● Ability to manage multiple tasks, respond effectively to emerging assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Desire and ability to work long campaign hours, including evenings, weekends, and irregular hours ● Ability to work in the Albuquerque campaign office a minimum of 4 day per week
● Ability to drive and reliable access to a vehicle.
● Openness to learning new skills and adapting quickly to new environments.
● Familiarity with graphic design and video editing tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut) a plus
