Internship Description

About the Role
We’re looking for bilingual (Chinese–English) interns to join our team for a 6-month, full-time internship focused on bringing Chinese micro-dramas to U.S. audiences.
This role is centered on script localization, where you’ll help adapt Chinese-language content into natural, engaging English while ensuring cultural relevance for U.S. viewers. You’ll also gain exposure to content development and storytelling workflows, making this a great opportunity for candidates interested in media, entertainment, or global content.

What You’ll Do
• Translate and localize Chinese micro-drama scripts into clear, natural English for U.S. audiences
• Adapt culturally specific elements (e.g., dialogue nuances, actions, props, settings) to improve audience relatability
• Build and maintain terminology glossaries and style consistency across projects
• Conduct research for genre-specific content (e.g., romance, fantasy, sci-fi, sports, etc.)
• Support script development work as needed, including story research, plot breakdowns, and basic analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams on content projects

What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree or above; recent graduates or early-career candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
• Fluent in Chinese (reading) and English (writing), with the ability to convey meaning accurately and write naturally in English
• Strong understanding of both Chinese and U.S. cultural contexts
• Interest in storytelling, short-form video, or micro-drama content
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with strong follow-through
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-cultural environment
• Comfortable using or learning AI-assisted tools (e.g., for translation support, research, or drafting) to improve efficiency

Nice to Have
• Academic or internship experience in screenwriting, translation, localization, or content development
• Familiarity with vertical drama platforms or digital media trends
