What You’ll Experience As An Intern – Manufacturing Maintenance
An internship with ERMCO provides meaningful, hands-on experience through project-based work that supports our strategic business goals. The Intern – Manufacturing Maintenance role is based at our Bristol, WI manufacturing facility and functions as a support role within the maintenance team.
Responsibilities
Interns work alongside experienced maintenance technicians to gain hands-on exposure to industrial maintenance in a production environment. Responsibilities include assisting with:
• Equipment troubleshooting
• Preventive maintenance activities
• Tool and material organization
• Routine inspections
• Basic adjustments and minor repairs
This role is ideal for students seeking practical exposure to industrial equipment, maintenance processes, and manufacturing operations.
What Success Looks Like
By the end of the summer, a successful Intern – Manufacturing Maintenance will:
• Respond to basic maintenance calls with confidence
• Follow standard troubleshooting and preventive maintenance procedures
• Safely use tools while working around industrial equipment
• Demonstrate sound problem-solving skills
• Understand how maintenance supports production reliability and efficiency
Requirements
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a college or technical college program
• Preference for students with sophomore-level coursework or higher
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technicians and team members
• Willingness to learn and take direction in a hands-on manufacturing environment
• Interest in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or related technical fields
• Ability to work safely in a production environment and follow safety guidelines
