Event Planning & Marketing Intern
Job Description
GROW & Flourish Co. is seeking a highly organized, creative, and community minded intern who is passionate about bringing people together through meaningful events and experiences.
This internship offers hands on experience in event planning, marketing, community engagement, and business operations while working alongside experienced entrepreneurs, local business leaders, sponsors, and community partners.
You will help support both virtual and in person events throughout the year while gaining practical experience that prepares you for a career in event management, marketing, communications, nonprofit leadership, entrepreneurship, or community development.
No two days are exactly alike. One week you may be helping prepare for a networking luncheon, another week creating social media content, assisting with sponsor communications, coordinating event logistics, or capturing behind the scenes moments.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
Event Planning
• Assist with planning and coordinating networking events, workshops, conferences, and business summits
• Help organize timelines, vendor communication, supplies, and event materials
• Assist with venue setup and breakdown
• Support registration, guest check in, and attendee experience
Marketing & Content Creation
• Assist with social media planning and scheduling
• Create graphics using Canva
• Capture photos and videos during events
• Help write social media captions, emails, and promotional content
Community Engagement
• Welcome guests and create a positive event experience
• Communicate with members, attendees, sponsors, and community partners
• Support networking initiatives and relationship building
Administrative Support
• Assist with project organization
• Prepare event materials and presentations
• Research vendors, venues, and community resources
• Help maintain organized project files and event checklists
Creative Projects
Depending on your interests and strengths, interns may also assist with:
• Graphic design
• Photography
• Videography
• Podcast production
• Marketing campaigns
• Community outreach
• Sponsorship initiatives
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
• Is currently enrolled in college or recently graduated, though all qualified applicants are welcome to apply
• Has strong communication skills
• Is dependable and follows through on commitments
• Enjoys working with people
• Is organized and pays attention to details
• Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
• Can manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Is comfortable using technology and learning new software
• Has experience with Canva or is willing to learn
• Can occasionally work evenings or weekends during events
• Has reliable transportation for local events
• Is passionate about supporting women entrepreneurs and strengthening the local business community
