Internship Description

Payday Music Publishing is looking for a Fall intern to join their Publishing Administration team. The internship will begin in September. This role is responsible for assisting the Publishing Administration department with organizing new songs and works, ensuring proper registrations at collection societies, registering copyrights with the US Copyright office, and maintaining/updating writer and work data.

There will be opportunities to work cross-functionally with other departments including licensing, A&R, and with our partner label Helix Records. This internship can be either full or part time, with a minimum of 3 days a week at our exciting Chelsea, NYC office.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to conduct research
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Ability to juggle multiple assignments at once and manage time effectively
• Passion for music and excitement to learn


Pluses

• 1+ years of experience at a publisher, label, or PRO
• Familiar with ASCAP, BMI, MLC and/or other collection societies
