Capital Markets Analyst Intern – Role Description
This is a full-time or part-time on-site (or hybrid) internship role for a Capital Markets Analyst Intern, based in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. The position is ideal for students or recent graduates with a strong interest in capital markets, corporate finance, and infrastructure investment who are eager to gain hands-on experience supporting a clean energy company preparing for public markets.
The Capital Markets Analyst Intern will support Hadron Energy’s finance and capital markets team in activities related to investor outreach, financial analysis, and transaction support. This role provides exposure to SPAC/IPO processes, investor relations, valuation analysis, and capital formation within a high-growth, capital-intensive clean energy company.
You will work closely with the CFO, FP&A, and Corporate Development teams to help prepare investor materials, analyze market data, and support financing strategy as Hadron advances toward commercialization and public-company readiness.
Responsibilities
• Assist in preparing investor presentations, pitch decks, and financial models for capital raises and strategic discussions
• Support analysis of public market comparables, valuation metrics, and equity research reports
• Conduct research on capital markets trends, energy infrastructure investments, and clean energy financing
• Help track investor outreach, meetings, and follow-ups using CRM or internal tracking tools
• Assist with SPAC, IPO, PIPE, or private financing analysis and documentation support
• Support development of financial scenarios related to manufacturing scale-up, reactor deployment, and long-term growth
• Analyze market performance of peer companies and summarize insights for internal stakeholders
• Prepare briefing notes and summary materials for executive and board-level discussions
• Support coordination with external advisors such as investment banks, legal counsel, and accounting firms
• Contribute to ad hoc financial and strategic projects as needed
Qualifications & Skillsets
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong interest in capital markets, investment banking, private equity, or project finance
• Solid knowledge of financial statements, valuation concepts, and corporate finance
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment with senior leadership exposure
• Curiosity about clean energy, infrastructure, and advanced nuclear technologies
• Professionalism, integrity, and a strong desire to learn
