Growth & Strategic Impact Intern (Summer 2026)
Location: Knoxville, TN and Oak Ridge, TN (Hybrid)
About the Role: HomeSource east tennessee and Oak Ridge Housing Authority are seeking a motivated, tech-savvy intern at least 10 hours per week to help us build the systems we need to grow our mission. This role is a deep dive into professional fundraising, digital communications, and nonprofit leadership.
This is currently a volunteer/unpaid position with the potential of converting to a paid internship based on performance and funding.
What You’ll Lead:
• Strategic Research: Identify land for new housing projects and research potential major supporters.
• Content Creation: Design social media content and help launch our new senior impact video.
• Event Management: Provide full-scale support for our high-profile ribbon cutting on June 1.
• Digital Systems: Master Bloomerang, the gold standard in nonprofit databases.
Qualifications:
• A passion for affordable housing in East Tennessee.
• Strong writing skills and a sharp eye for detail.
• Experience with social media and Canva or similar design tools.
