About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to join our Cybersecurity team. This internship offers hands-on experience in supporting enterprise cybersecurity operations, with a focus on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Microsoft 365 security tools, and employee security awareness initiatives. The ideal candidate is eager to learn foundational cybersecurity concepts across multiple domains while contributing to real-world tasks in a professional environment. You will work closely with experienced security professionals to help protect organizational assets, ensure compliance, and promote a strong security culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in maintaining and updating cybersecurity documentation, policies, and procedures related to GRC frameworks.
• Support basic GRC activities, such as tracking controls, assisting with risk assessments, compliance checks, and third-party risk documentation.
• Help administer and monitor Microsoft Office 365 security features.
• Support device management and security configurations using Microsoft Intune.
• Perform basic security monitoring, log reviews, and assist in identifying potential issues or anomalies under supervision.
• Participate in security projects and general administrative tasks to support the cybersecurity team.
• Stay current with basic cybersecurity trends and best practices through guided learning.
Required Skills And Knowledge
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity domains (e.g., foundational knowledge of network security, endpoint security, cloud security, identity & access management, incident response, cryptography, and risk management).
• Basic knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) principles, including awareness of common frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance concepts.
• Practical familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 security and productivity tools.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune for device management and endpoint security.
• Experience or strong understanding of Cybersecurity Awareness Training programs and end-user security education best practices.
