The minimum compensation for this role is listed below; pay will be determined based on experience:
$18.00 - 20.00 per hour
Eat. Sleep. People. Repeat: Our Human Resources Intern will have the opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of the department while assisting with recruiting, training, employee relations and more. We choose HR Interns who can handle the hard work, are driven, show a passion for helping employees succeed, and take pride in what they do. This full-time position requires availability Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, at our Kalamazoo Headquarters from May-August.
A Day in the Life
• Setup pre-employment assessments, background checks, drug screenings and physicals
• Assist with recruiting by scheduling interviews for Hiring Managers
• Conduct weekly new hire onboarding
• Place orders and submit returns for employee uniforms
• Assist in resolving employee issues
• Assist team with various reporting needs
• Main point of contact for summer interns in other departments
• Share at least one funny video in the HR group chat
Requirements
• Currently pursuing a college degree in Human Resources or related field
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to commit to a minimum of a 12-week period (May-August)
• Must possess superior communication and customer service skills, confidentiality and professionalism
• Strong organizational skills
• Self-starter, highly motivated with a high productivity level
• Must have a reliable personal cell phone with the ability to receive calls and text messages and with a cell phone number available internally
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Positive, outgoing attitude, with a desire to learn
• Ability to create positive relationships
