Internship Description

The International Franchise Association (IFA), established over 60 years ago, is the world's oldest and largest organization dedicated to representing franchising globally. The IFA's mission focuses on protecting, promoting, and enhancing franchising through activities like government relations, public relations, and educational initiatives. Its members include franchise companies across over 120 business categories, individual franchisees, and organizations supporting the industry in areas such as marketing, law, and business development. The IFA is committed to upholding high standards and fostering the growth and success of the franchise sector.


The IFA is looking for a motivated and curious Summer Sales Intern to join our Sales team. This is a hands-on role offering broad exposure to sales operations, event sponsorship and advertising, and data analysis. You will work closely with the Sales team, gaining practical experience across all aspects of how we engage clients and bring our products to market.


Responsibilities:
Event Sponsorship & Advertising
• Support the Sales team with day-to-day event sponsorship and advertising activities
• Assist with the coordination and delivery of advertising campaigns and sponsored events
• Help prepare materials and communications related to our event and advertising products
Sales Operations
• Assist with contract processing and invoicing tasks
• Help maintain accurate records and update client information across our CRM and tools
• Support the team with day-to-day administrative tasks to keep the sales function running smoothly
• Work across platforms including Salesforce, Nimble, JotForm, and Adobe
Data Gathering & Reporting
• Pull and compile data from Salesforce, Google Analytics, and other sources
• Organize performance data on our webinar and advertising products into clear, usable formats
• Support analysis of our client base, including new business and renewals, and how these have trended over time
• Present data in Excel in a structured way to support the Sales team's decision-making


Requirements:
• Currently studying towards a degree
• Comfortable working with data in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Google Analytics or CRM tools such as Salesforce is a bonus, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• A proactive communicator who is not afraid to ask questions
• A team player who enjoys working closely with others and contributing to shared goals

Key Facts:
This is a hybrid internship role located in Washington, DC, with opportunities for remote work.
$20/hr, up to 30 hours a week.
This internship will last between 10 to 12 weeks.
