About Us
Jourdan-Bachman Pioneer Farms is a 90-acre living history museum in Austin, Texas, where visitors experience 19th-century Texas through historic homesites, educational programs, artisan demonstrations, and community events.
As a nonprofit museum, Pioneer Farms combines history, education, and storytelling to connect visitors with the past and the community.

Overview
Pioneer Farms is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing & Digital Media Intern to help share our stories with new audiences.
This semester-based internship provides hands-on experience in social media, digital storytelling, content creation, community engagement, and nonprofit marketing. Interns will help develop marketing ideas, create digital content, evaluate audience engagement, and explore new ways to connect with visitors.
As a small, privately operated museum, Pioneer Farms offers interns the opportunity to bring ideas forward, take ownership of projects, and see the impact of their work.

Responsibilities
• Create content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok
• Develop social media calendars and assist with marketing campaigns
• Create and edit graphics, photos, videos, and written content
• Photograph and document events, programs, exhibits, and museum activities
• Help tell the stories of volunteers, artisans, interpreters, staff, and community partners
• Collaborate with volunteers interested in digital storytelling and media projects
• Research marketing trends and new outreach opportunities
• Track social media growth, engagement, and audience trends
• Suggest ideas to improve Pioneer Farms’ digital presence and visitor engagement

Projects may include developing social media campaigns, creating video content, improving online visibility, highlighting behind-the-scenes experiences, and exploring new ways to reach audiences.
Interns will have the opportunity to create portfolio-ready work and contribute ideas that help shape Pioneer Farms’ marketing.
