Komar, a global leader in the design, sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution of high-quality sleepwear, layering, and intimates is seeking a Design Intern for our ladies sleepwear team! The internship requires the ability to work in our office at 90 Hudson Street, Jersey City, NJ.
Responsibilities include:
• Assist design team with day-to-day activities associated with product development.
• Assist in the preparation of concept, fabric and design presentation boards.
• Create CADs and catalogues using Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Collaborate with technical design team and production to ensure accurate and timely sample development. Participate in all fittings.
• Assist with preparing tech packages for production and technical design teams which include construction details, sketches, fabrications, trim sheets and colors.
• Assist with organization of samples, fabric and trims.
Qualifications include:
• Women’s fashion design work experience or design internship experience
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Working knowledge of garment construction and textiles.
• Strong collaborator with excellent communication, interpersonal, and follow-up skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task effectively.
• Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.
