LA-Tech.org connects the Los Angeles tech community with untapped talent, opening doors to internships, jobs, and careers for the next generation of leaders. We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit coalition of LA area tech companies working together to close the access gap, not a skills gap, and to build economic opportunity in historically underrepresented communities across LA County.
What You'll Do
As a Technical Track Intern, you'll gain exposure to cybersecurity, software engineering, and artificial intelligence, guided by mentors from LA's tech community (and beyond). This is mostly a virtual internship, with three mandatory in-person events built in so you can meet your cohort and the people investing in your growth: the Scholar Retreat, the Tech Campus Site Visit, and the Culminating Celebration.
Live Internship Sessions (virtual):
• Every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-6:30 PM PST
What You'll Gain
• Exposure to technical projects and concepts, not just theory
• Mentorship from tech professionals working in cybersecurity, software engineering, and artificial intelligence

Qualifications
• Currently reside in Los Angeles County, CA
• Available to work part-time for 10 to 15 hours per week for ~13 weeks

Preferred Qualifications
• Some exposure to technical projects, or a strong interest in learning more about technical concepts
• Experience working in collaborative teams
• Prior experience in extracurricular activities that shows leadership, curiosity, and a willingness to grow
