Internship Description

Marketing + PR Internship (Public Relations, Communications, Marketing Students)
Roles & Responsibilities

Who We Are
You’ll work directly with Cultivate A Network of Champions CEO + Founder and keynote speaker Amy Siegfried, supporting a brand focused on helping people confidently connect, build authentic relationships, and create a network of champions who open doors.

Through speaking engagements, workshops, and social and digital content, Cultivate teaches practical, real-world ways to turn everyday conversations into meaningful opportunities. At the core of our work is this belief: you don’t build momentum alone; relationships make it happen.

You’ll also collaborate with the Last Night’s Game team, a sister company to Cultivate, during all-staff meetings. Through our podcast, social media, website, and newsletter, we make sports approachable and useful for real-life conversations, helping people feel more confident in the rooms where opportunities happen.

When you join us, we value your ideas, perspectives, and creativity.

Unpaid, for academic credit (if applicable)

Location & Schedule
This is a remote marketing and public relations internship with weekly Zoom meetings.
You will attend 1–2 one-hour team or 1:1 meetings per week.
Work hours are flexible; we trust you to manage your schedule and deliver results.

Responsibilities (Public Relations + Marketing Focus)
• Research and pitch media outlets, podcasts, and speaking opportunities to grow Amy’s visibility and brand presence
• Support outreach to event organizers, conference planners, and organizations aligned with Cultivate’s audience
• Assist in building and maintaining a targeted PR and communications pipeline
• Send pitch emails, speaker submissions, and follow-up communication
• Identify strategic partnerships and collaboration opportunities that expand reach and relationships
• Track outreach, responses, and placements to understand what’s working and where to build momentum
• Support content amplification tied to speaking engagements, including social media posts, recap content, and newsletter mentions
• Monitor trends, events, and conversations where Cultivate should have a voice
• Collaborate with both Cultivate and Last Night’s Game teams on marketing, communications, and brand visibility initiatives
• Take on special creative or research projects as they arise

You’re a Great Fit If:
• You’re a current undergraduate majoring in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, or has an emphasis (i.e., a minor in one of those studies) (Spring/Summer/Fall 2026 grads — this one isn’t for you)
• You’re curious about how people, brands, and ideas gain visibility through PR, media, and marketing strategy
• You’re a strong writer who can craft thoughtful, clear outreach emails
• You think in angles and storylines, not just tasks
• You’re organized and detail-oriented, you can track conversations, contacts, and next steps
• You take initiative and aren’t afraid to test, learn, and refine your approach
• You value authentic connection and understand that relationships drive opportunities
• You’re familiar with tools like Canva and Google Suite and can support light content tied to visibility efforts
• Bonus: You’ve pitched something before, media, a campus org, a student publication, or even a cold email that got a yes

Why Join Our Team:
• See the behind-the-scenes reality of building and scaling a female-led startup
• Receive real mentorship and professional development
• You’ll have creative ownership and real responsibility
• Your ideas will be heard, tested, and celebrated
• You’ll leave with a strong portfolio in marketing, public relations, and communications
