Internship Description

The Editorial Intern is responsible for guaranteeing that content written for ConsumerNotice.org and Drugwatch.com is clean, clear and accurate. This role will work alongside award-winning writers and editors to publish articles that have the potential to directly impact our readers’ happiness, health, and safety.

Day-to-Day

• Fact-check legal and health care articles for accuracy.
• Spot and fix inconsistencies in style, tone and message.
• Ensure content adheres to style guidelines.
• Improve sentences for readability and concision.
• Correct errors in grammar, punctuation and spelling.
• Ensure content logically and clearly communicates information to the targeted audience.
• Provide feedback to writers and editors as directed by a Senior Editor.
• Assist with project management tasks as needed.
• Utilize AI tools within company security parameters, where appropriate, to improve efficiency, support decision-making, and enhance work quality.
• This technology is designed to optimize capabilities, not replace human judgment or critical decision-making.
• Contribute to valuable legal and medical content.
• Improve search engine optimization (SEO) results and rankings for web content.
• Help publish top-ranking, quality articles that provide accurate and credible information.
• Work is closely reviewed by a Senior Editor upon completion.
• Perform additional tasks as required to support departmental and company objectives.
Qualifications

• Upperclassman, recent graduate or someone looking to make a career change.
• Formal education in writing-intensive discipline (Journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, English or similar).
• Previous internship or work experience in a professional editing environment.
• Passion for grammar and accuracy.
• Exceptional understanding of language with a curiosity for knowledge and a meticulous eye for detail.

At Launch That, you will learn how editorial decisions shape content rankings in Google and improve how it appears across AI driven platforms like Claude and ChatGPT.

Launch That is a digital marketing company based in downtown Orlando. Since 2007, we have built high performing digital brands that connect people to valuable resources.

This part-time internship runs for a 4-month term, offering up to 29 hours of work per week. The position pays $14.00 per hour, which will increase to $15.00 per hour in September to stay aligned with Florida’s minimum wage guidelines. Designed as a hybrid role, it includes on-site collaboration from Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility of remote work on Fridays.
