WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Conducting store compliance audits across operational areas
• Assisting with internal investigations involving fraud, theft, and policy violations
• Supporting data analytics and continuous monitoring activities
• Preparing written reports and executive level summaries
• Participating in process improvement and control design initiatives
• Supporting fieldwork, including travel
• Contributing to a capstone project aligned with compliance, audit, or investigative work
• Completing additional compliance, audit, or risk related projects as assigned


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Required Qualifications

• Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Strong written communication and documentation skills
• High ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to work with accuracy and consistency
• Ability to travel


WHAT WILL GIVE YOU AN EDGE?

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate level student (preferred level of education)
• Majoring in Accounting, Finance, or Criminal Justice
• Foundational accounting and audit knowledge
• Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Alteryx or Power BI
• Knowledge of fraud indicators, investigative processes, or prior exposure to internal investigations
• Ability to quickly learn and contribute to new projects
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong initiative and curiosity in risk management, controls, or compliance work

What We Are Looking For

Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Entry Level.

Developing professional knowledge in the area of expertise. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between [$19 pay rate – $22 pay rate]/hour. This rate is based on the intern's current year in their respective university programs. Graduate students may receive a higher rate of pay based on their year in school. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
