African Art Curator / Intern LoZo Gallery
LoZo Gallery is looking for an Assistant Art Curator Intern with an interest in African Art, cataloging, and restoration while assisting with daily online gallery operations and auctions.
Hours & dates are flexible, but it is expected that the Assistant Curator Intern will be available a minimum of 30 hours a week during business hours.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Curator Intern wears multiple “hats” and has responsibilities, which will contribute to building a strong resume. Assist with maintaining and curating the gallery, processing high-end art sales, participating in consultations with clients, managing artworks for sale: photography, artifact research, and restoration. There are over six thousand original African artifacts that need to be described, photographed, priced, and placed online.

Minimum Requirements:
• Prefer Fine Arts degree, writing proficiency, detail-oriented, and able to multitask. Art history, or specialization in Africa art, is advantageous.
Deadline: The internship begins when post is filled and lasts for three months with the possibility of extension.
