Position Summary:
The Group Sales & Marketing Intern provides hands-on administrative and sales support to the Associate Director of Sales, with a primary focus on group sales for Broadway, concerts, and special events at Omaha Performing Arts venues. This internship offers meaningful exposure to performing arts sales, patron engagement, and grassroots marketing while supporting revenue-generating initiatives and community partnerships.
The intern will assist with administrative duties, group payment processing, prospecting new group clients, and supporting restaurant and hotel partnership programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Group Sales & Administrative Support
• Assist with processing group orders, including data entry, confirmations, and ticket fulfillment
• Maintain accurate records of group clients, orders, and communications
• Assist with post-show follow-ups, talkbacks, and group-related logistics
Sales Prospecting & Patron Engagement
• Research and identify potential new group clients, community organizations, and businesses
• Assist with outreach efforts to prospective and lapsed group buyers via phone and email
• Help prepare sales materials, call lists, and tracking documents
• Support grassroots sales efforts and community-based initiatives
Marketing & Partnerships Support
• Assist with restaurant and hotel partnership program administration
• Support grassroots marketing efforts with local businesses and organizations
• Collaborate with the marketing team on projects related to group sales and promotions
• Assist with database updates and internal reporting as needed
Additional Responsibilities
• Participate in intern professional development opportunities
• Provide general departmental support and assist with special projects
Approximately 20–25 hours per week. $15.00/hour
Requirements
Required:
• Interest in arts administration, sales, marketing, hospitality, or nonprofit management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable speaking with patrons and community partners by phone and email
• Ability to handle sensitive financial and patron information with professionalism
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
Preferred
• Experience or coursework in sales, marketing, business, or arts administration
• Familiarity with CRM or ticketing systems (training provided)
• Customer service or administrative experience
