Reports to: IT Infrastructure Manager
Purpose
The IT Infrastructure Intern supports the planning, maintenance, and monitoring of the organization's technology infrastructure. This role provides hands-on support with enterprise IT systems including virtualization technologies, networking, and Azure cloud resources.
Responsibilities
• Assists with the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
• Helps develop documentation for IT policies and procedures.
• Supports redundant architectures to ensures high availability of critical systems.
• Collaborates with IT team members to support projects and daily operations.
• Monitors system performance under supervision.
• Assists with disaster recovery and business continuity tasks.
• Provides support in managing Azure resources.
Required Qualifications
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Interest in IT infrastructure and systems administration.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Interest in learning hybrid infrastructure and Microsoft Azure.
Work Environment
This position works in a home or professional office environment and uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands
The intern is regularly required to sit, see, talk, or hear. Frequent activities include standing, walking, handling equipment, and reaching with hands and arms. Visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as reading, observing surroundings, or working with various forms of data.
