Prairie Engineers is a multidisciplinary firm specializing in land surveying, civil and environmental engineering, and mapping services. We are seeking a motivated Summer Intern to assist in the development of an automated process that synchronizes data between two systems. No prior work experience is required, just a technical background in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related field. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in automation, data integration, and software development while working closely with professionals experienced in IT and business process automation. This opportunity is available to be filled on-site in our Lenexa KS office.
What you will Do:
• Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, data sources, and system constraints.
• Process Design & Development: Assist in designing and implementing an automated synchronization process between two systems.
• Testing & Validation: Ensure the process functions correctly and meets business requirements.
• Documentation: Create clear technical documentation for the developed solution.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify and resolve issues that arise during development.
• Collaboration: Work alongside IT and business teams to refine and improve the automation.
What you Need:
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of data structures, databases, and APIs.
• Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary range $19.00 - $25.00 per hour. Interns generally ineligible for benefits.
