Responsibilities

Related Commercial Management Companies are seeking two highly motivated and organized Summer Data Analysts to join the RCMC Operations and Asset Management team. These roles will support both operational and financial initiatives through data analysis, reporting, and process automation.

The Operations Summer Analyst will support building teams by assisting with ongoing projects, organizing and validating operational data, and developing dashboards and automated workflows to improve visibility and efficiency. This role will collaborate closely with the events and communications teams to support project execution, reporting, and emergency audit processes.

The Asset Management Summer Analyst will assist with analyzing monthly performance, budget projections, and key operational metrics across the commercial portfolio. This role will support data-driven decision-making by building reports and dashboards, automating recurring analyses, and assisting with financial and operational reviews.

These positions will support the Hudson Yards campus, Columbus Circle, and 85 Tenth Avenue commercial portfolio. The Summer Analysts will report to the RCMC Manager of Data Automations and the Vice President of Commercial Management.

• Assist in the design and implementation of asset management processes to enhance portfolio performance
• Assist with underwriting and financial analysis projects
• Support the team in managing and facilitating disposition and refinancing transactions
• Monitor occupancy and delinquency rates for active portfolios
• Support initiatives aimed at enhancing NOI through procurement strategies
• Assist the team with any ad hoc projects


Requirements:

Summer Analyst, RCMC Operations

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student pursuing Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative fields.
• Strong foundation in data analysis, data management, and reporting
• Proficiency in data analysis and modeling
• Hands-on experience with Power BI / Tableau to build dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
• Experience using Power Automate to create workflows, automate data processes, and improve reporting efficiency
• Working knowledge of Python and/or R for data cleaning, analysis, or automation
• Basic understanding of SQL and querying structured datasets
• Ability to clean, validate, and organize large datasets from multiple sources
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


Summer Analyst, RCMC Asset Management

• Assist in analyzing monthly performance metrics and budget projections, comparing actual results to the annual management plan using data-driven insights
• Review and analyze budget reports, including income, expenses, and cash flows, and support financial and operational analysis for ongoing projects
• Support dashboard development and reporting (e.g., Power BI) to improve visibility into financial and operational performance
• Assist in identifying and resolving accounts payable and accounts receivable issues, helping ensure accurate and timely financial processing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and compliance reviews, including data validation, documentation, and follow-up actions for timely submission of Special Claims
• Help streamline and automate recurring reporting and review processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy


Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is $30 per hour

Qualifications

Related’s Summer Analyst Program aims to train and evaluate the next generation of leaders. To be considered for the 2026 Summer Analyst program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Current undergraduate sophomore or junior with a target graduation date between December 2026 – June 2028
• Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
• Demonstrated interest in data analytics, automation, and business intelligence, particularly within real estate, operations, or asset management
• Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI
• Experience building automated workflows using Power Automate
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and validate data
• Exposure to Python and/or R and SQL for data analysis is preferred
• Ability to translate data into clear insights for non-technical audiences
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Resume must include expected graduation month/year and GPA
