Internship Description

The Mont Vernon Village School is seeking a full-time school psychologist for grades PreK-6th.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Skills required include conducting Psycho-Educational evaluations through the special education process. Candidate must have experience administering, scoring, and interpreting psycho-educational evaluations, as well as providing written and oral feedback related to completed evaluations. Knowledge and experience administering assessments in the domains of Cognitive, Educational, Behavioral, Adaptive Functioning, Executive Functioning, and Social Emotional Functioning is a requirement. Additional responsibilities include consultation with special education and general education staff to implement high quality special education programming, performing functional behavior assessments, writing behavior plans, and overseeing behavioral programming in collaboration with the student's team, providing direct services in social emotional and behavioral as deemed by IEP teams, including prescribing services and writing IEP goals, and consultation with MTSS teams.

Requirements

• Certified by New Hampshire Department of Education as a School Psychologist (0046)
• 3-5 years of successful experience in School Psychology, inclusive of practicum and internship
• Knowledge of Special Education Laws.
• Demonstrated commitment to, "Engage, Support and Challenge All Learners."

• Well-grounded in adolescent developmental needs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Well-developed collaborative skills for working with colleagues and families.
• Knowledgeable in processes related to Special Education.


Preferred

• Experience in behavioral programming, including FBAs and BIPs
• Experience in a Multi-Tier System of Support, including analyzing response to intervention data and incorporating into psycho-educational reports and recommendations
• Experience applying assessment, interpretation, and application of a pattern of strengths and weaknesses psycho-educational evaluation
