Responsibilities
What is my day to day like? As an intern with our IT Department your day-to-day will focus on supporting our Information Technology (IT) Operations Team. This team is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of an organization's IT infrastructure and systems. This includes the monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of hardware, software, networks, and other IT components to support the overall business objectives. This internship is an opportunity to get first-hand experience working in a corporate helpdesk, and exposure to a variety of different technologies across IT domains. The primary focus will be on:
• Assist in the seamless software upgrade process as we transition to Windows 11.
• Delivering comprehensive help desk support through our ticketing system, addressing user queries and technical issues promptly and effectively to maintain optimal operational efficiency.
• Provide crucial support in setting up new laptops, configuring systems, and ensuring a smooth integration of hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot issues occurring with critical equipment such as radio frequency (RF) scanners, troubleshooting issues.
What Makes a Person Successful In This Position.
• College student seeking a degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Familiarity with Microsoft office programs.
• Feels comfortable providing Customer Service by interacting with people both on the phone and in person.
• Prior knowledge/experience with AD/ticketing systems a plus.
What will my schedule be like?
During the Summer Internship Program, you will work M-F up to 40 hours a week. A typical day will be 8:30am-5:00pm with an hour for lunch. Remote work/work from home opportunities may be available 2 days a week with prior manager approval.
