Role Description This is a remote internship role for an Application Developer. The intern will support the design, development, and maintenance of features within the SeenU application, collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering team members. Day-to-day tasks may include implementing front-end components, working with back-end services, integrating APIs, and optimizing performance and user experience. The role will involve troubleshooting issues, assisting with database-related tasks, participating in code reviews, and documenting technical work. The intern will also contribute ideas to improve existing functionality and support rapid experimentation in a fast-paced startup environment.
Required Qualifications
• Expert-level Kotlin development experience (required).
• Expert-level Swift/iOS development experience (required).
• Strong understanding of Android Jetpack Compose and SwiftUI.
• Experience building and shipping production mobile applications to Google Play and the App Store.
• Strong knowledge of Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging, Storage, and Cloud Functions).
• Experience optimizing app performance, memory usage, battery consumption, rendering, and network efficiency.
• Experience debugging complex mobile issues including crashes, ANRs, threading, synchronization, and real-time networking.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, WebSockets, and real-time architectures.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience building social networking or messaging applications.
• Experience with location-based services, maps, and geolocation.
• Experience with real-time multiplayer or live presence systems.
• Experience scaling applications with tens of thousands of users.
• Experience working in startup environments.
