We are seeking a creative, film-minded Editing Intern to join SexSymbol Magazine! This unpaid internship offers hands-on experience editing artist interviews, documentary-style content, and short-form media within the music and culture space.
This role is ideal for editors with a film or artistic background who bring a strong creative perspective and an understanding of cinematic, documentary-style storytelling. We’re seeking editors who can interpret creative direction, make intentional editing choices, and confidently shape a piece with minimal guidance.
As an Editing Intern, you will:• Edit artist-exclusive video interviews with a focus on pacing, emotion, and narrative flow
• Create short-form content from long-form footage for social media platforms
• Interpret creative direction and independently shape edits without extensive hand-holding
• Deliver polished edited content to the Social Media Manager on a consistent basis
• Support additional video editing projects as needed
Who You Are:• Have a film, media, or artistic editing background
• Possess a strong creative eye and an appreciation for highly produced, documentary-style content
• Comfortable making independent creative decisions and working with minimal direction
• Interested in music, culture, and storytelling through video
• Able to manage deadlines and work remotely
