Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Design & Product Development Intern to support our design and production team. This role offers hands-on exposure to the full product lifecycle—from concept and sampling to production—and will work closely alongside our Design and Product Development Managers and the growing team. The intern will assist with day-to-day product development tasks, studio organization, and coordination with local factories and vendors.


Responsibilities
• Conduct local garment factory runs to request samples and check on production sewing progress
• Assist with purchasing trims and fabrics, sourcing materials, and gathering swatches
• Maintain organization and tracking of receipts related to development purchases
• Create artwork specifications in Adobe Illustrator for production and design use
• Help review samples against design intent & measurement specs
• Create specs of existing garments for internal garment archives
• Organize headers, materials, trims, and development samples within the studio
• Attend fittings and assist with note-taking, pinning, labeling samples, and documenting feedback


Qualifications
• Currently studying or recently graduated in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced studio environment
• Comfortable running errands and communicating with local factories and vendors
• Interest in fashion product development and production processes
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed


Physical Requirements
• Able to be on your feet during shoots or deliveries
• Must be located within NYC area and willing to travel locally through the city
