Role Description This Marriage and Family Therapy Intern role is an internship position with a hybrid work arrangement based in Beverly Hills, CA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The intern will provide psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families under clinical supervision, including intake assessments, ongoing treatment, and appropriate referrals. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, participating in case consultations, and collaborating with supervisors and peers to support client care. The intern will engage in regular training activities, integrate evidence-informed practices, and adhere to ethical and legal standards in the delivery of mental health services.
Qualifications
* Current California associate registration required (AMFT, APCC, or ASW). Please include your California license/registration number with your application.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful therapeutic relationships.
* Willingness to work in person at our Beverly Hills office and provide face-to-face psychotherapy services.
* Interest in working with a diverse client population, including adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families. Experience or willingness to work with children and couples is a strong plus.
* Openness to learning and integrating a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR-informed interventions through supervision and ongoing training.
* Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and lifelong professional development.
* Ability to manage a clinical caseload, maintain timely and accurate documentation, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Prior practicum, traineeship, or clinical experience in an outpatient mental health setting is preferred but not required.
