Program Overview
The 2026 Thompson Engineering Summer Collegiate Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain meaningful, practical experience across a variety of disciplines. Interns work alongside experienced professionals on active projects, gaining exposure to both office-based and field-based work depending on their area of interest.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities will vary by discipline and assignment, but may include:
• Assisting with engineering design, analysis, and technical documentation
• Supporting field inspections, data collection, sampling, and testing activities
• Assisting with construction observation, CEI reporting, and quality control documentation
• Preparing reports, plans, exhibits, and project deliverables
• Supporting project managers with scheduling, coordination, and administrative tasks
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on real client projects
• Learning industry standards, safety practices, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field
• Completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework by Summer 2026 (preferred)
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work in both office and field environments, as applicable
• Valid driver's license (for field-based positions)
