We are looking to bring onboard Business Development & Digital Marketing interns for our 12 week internship program; this program will provide an opportunity to actually deliver value and outcomes implemented into a live business operation with the option to extend to a contract or full time position.
This role is not for coffee-getters, note takers, or meeting attenders, we're looking for those ready to DO and make a mark!
In this role, you’ll focus on driving brand awareness across multiple platforms and work closely with business development and product teams to publish content, engage with target audiences, and generate leads through social media, direct outreach, and strategic marketing campaigns.
This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and a proactive approach to increasing business visibility and building communities.
Areas of Focus:
Digital Marketing & Content Creation
• Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive traffic to the Varmodel website.
• Create and manage content for social media, blogs, newsletters, and online forums to engage users.
• Publish and distribute content across platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and industry-specific forums.
• Optimize social media posts for maximum engagement, reach, and SEO benefits.
• Track and report on website traffic, audience engagement, and content performance.
Social Media & Community Engagement
• Manage and grow Varmodel’s presence on social media platforms.
• Identify and engage with influencers, industry experts, and potential customers.
• Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner to foster relationships.
• Plan and execute social media campaigns, contests, and giveaways to increase reach.
• Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to improve engagement.
Outreach & Lead Generation
• Research and identify potential clients, partners, and industry contacts.
• Conduct cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to connect with key decision-makers.
• Develop and maintain a database of leads and track outreach efforts.
• Schedule and follow up on meetings, demos, and partnership opportunities.
• Work with the sales team to convert leads into customers.
Email Marketing & Campaigns
• Create and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and engage existing users.
• Develop personalized email sequences for outreach and follow-ups.
• Monitor and optimize email open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
• Use tools like Mailchimp, HubSpot, or SendGrid for campaign automation.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
• Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer behavior.
• Provide insights on new marketing opportunities and customer needs.
• Track the performance of marketing initiatives and suggest improvements.
• Conduct surveys and interviews to gather user feedback.
Business Growth & Sales Support
• Assist in developing marketing materials, presentations, and sales decks.
• Support sales efforts by providing insights, reports, and outreach assistance.
• Work with the product team to ensure marketing messaging aligns with business goals.
• Experiment with new marketing channels and strategies to maximize business impact.
SEO Analytics & Reporting
• Track keyword rankings, organic traffic trends, and search performance.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on Google Analytics and SEO tools data.
• Stay up to date with Google algorithm updates, industry trends, and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
• Strong communication and persuasion skills for outreach and cold calling.
• Knowledge of social media marketing, content creation, and digital advertising.
• Experience with marketing tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, Mailchimp, and Canva.
• Ability to analyze marketing metrics and optimize campaigns for better performance.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and experiment with new ideas.
• Strong research and analytical skills to identify trends and opportunities.
• Experience with local SEO and Google My Business optimization.
• Understanding of paid search (Google Ads, PPC) and how it complements organic SEO.
• Knowledge of video SEO and YouTube optimization.
• Familiarity with AI-generated content tools and how to optimize AI-written content for SEO.
• Experience in B2B marketing, lead generation, or sales support.
• Understanding of SEO, paid advertising (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads), and growth hacking techniques.
• Familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho CRM.
• Ability to create engaging visuals and content using Canva, Photoshop, or other design tools.
