Versant Health: Making Healthy Vision a Reality for Everyone
Scope And Purpose Of Position
The intern will be studying our Automatic Warehouse System (AWS) efficiency, identify ways to optimize use of the system and determine best times to load product into machine for overall improved workflow adhearing to ISO 9001 standards. Additionally, the intern will be able to collect and analyze data from the AWS and create process cability reports to improve quality control. The intern will also gain valuable knowledge when collabortating with external vendors, upper management and lab associates to further their understanding of Supply Chain and Manufacturing as a whole.
Location Requirements:
On-Site job location – New Town Square, PA
Must have reliable transportation
Essential Functions
• Standardize and Improve the function of our AWS (automatic warehouse system) to improve quality control
• Conduct process capability analysis and utilize lean six sigma
• Work with upper management and lab associates to improve processes leading to improved workflow
Educational Requirements
• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
• Preferred field of study: Engineering and Mechanical Engineering
• Required school classifications: Current Juniors and Seniors only
• Required GPA: 3.0 and above
Experience
• Experience in Statistics
• Knowledgeable in Lean Six Sigma
• Familiar with process capability analysis and pareto analysis
• Strong understanding of quality control
• Familiar with ISO 9001 Standard and Quality Management Systems
