Winter4Kids is seeking a creative, motivated, and organized Marketing Intern to support the organization's marketing, communications, and community engagement efforts. This internship is ideal for a student or emerging professional interested in nonprofit marketing, sports marketing, social media strategy, and mission-driven storytelling.
The Marketing Intern will assist with marketing planning, audience research, content creation, and social media engagement while gaining hands-on experience supporting a nonprofit focused on empowering youth through winter sports and outdoor experiences.
Responsibilities
• Marketing & Communications Support
• Attending promotional events
• Assist with seasonal marketing planning and campaign development
• Support creation of promotional materials and marketing content
• Research marketing trends, audience engagement strategies, and community outreach opportunities
• Assist with drafting social media captions, email content, and promotional messaging
• Help maintain consistent branding and messaging across platforms
Social Media & Content Creation
• Coordinate and execute social media takeovers during events, programs, and activities
• Capture photo and video content for social media and marketing use
• Assist with content scheduling and social media calendar organization
• Monitor engagement and help identify opportunities to grow audience reach
• Support storytelling efforts highlighting program impact, athletes, and community partnerships
Research & Administrative Support
• Conduct market and audience research to support outreach initiatives
• Assist with organizing marketing assets and campaign tracking
• Support event promotion and community engagement initiatives as needed
Qualifications
• Interest in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, sports management, or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Creative mindset with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Canva and social media tools preferred but not required
