Our Mission: Wisconsin Appleseed Center for Law & Justice works to advance justice, dismantle systemic barriers, and create lasting solutions that ensure all Wisconsin residents have the opportunity to thrive.

As the newest justice center in the national Appleseed Network, Wisconsin Appleseed combines legal expertise, research, community partnerships, and policy advocacy to address poverty, discrimination, environmental challenges, and barriers to opportunity across Wisconsin.

We are seeking an organized, motivated undergraduate or graduate student to support our nonprofit operations, fundraising, communications, and advocacy efforts. Interns will gain hands-on experience in legislative and policy research, grant writing, donor engagement, digital communications, and nonprofit administration, while receiving mentorship from experienced nonprofit professionals and Board members.

Qualifications: Interest in social justice, public policy, nonprofit management, communications, or related fields; strong organizational and research skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; and a commitment to Wisconsin Appleseed’s mission. Students from diverse educational backgrounds and life experiences are encouraged to apply.

Location & Flexibility: Remote work flexibility, with the ability to participate in meetings based on your location and availability.

Commitment: Approximately 10 hours per week during the academic semester.

Compensation & Employment Potential: This is an unpaid internship with the potential to transition into part-time employment as organizational needs allow.

To Apply: Submit a cover letter and résumé.

Wisconsin Appleseed is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and welcomes applicants who bring varied perspectives, experiences, and ideas to our work toward a more just and equitable Wisconsin.
