Role Description This is an on-site internship role based in Raleigh, NC for a Supply Chain and Logistics Intern. The intern will support day-to-day logistics operations, including coordinating inventory, preparing bedding kits and essentials, and assisting with shipment receiving and campus deliveries. Responsibilities include tracking orders, updating internal records, and communicating with university partners and housing providers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries. The intern will help optimize warehouse layout, packaging processes, and pickup procedures to improve efficiency and sustainability. The role may also involve data entry, basic reporting on inventory and order status, and supporting special projects related to process improvement and student experience.
Qualifications
• Interest in supply chain, logistics, or operations management, preferably with current enrollment in a related college or university program.
• Ability to work with inventory systems, maintain accurate records, and support order tracking and fulfillment processes.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in packing, labeling, and documentation.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, university partners, and student-facing staff.
• Comfort with basic technology tools (e.g., spreadsheets, inventory software, online order platforms), and willingness to learn new systems.
• Ability to perform on-site tasks that may involve standing, lifting, and moving boxes in a warehouse or campus environment, with reasonable accommodations as needed.
• Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and a collaborative mindset, with an interest in improving processes and student experience.
• Prior experience in customer service, logistics support, or campus housing operations is beneficial but not required.
