Introduction
Do you enjoy building meaningful relationships with colleagues and partners across the globe? Are you motivated by the opportunity to help shape a growing company from an early stage? Would you like to learn from evaluators, researchers, and management consultants with decades of experience in low- and middle-income countries and a shared commitment to the common good? If so, Effaced may be the right place for you.
Effaced is offering internships for entry-level professionals interested in business development, research, and operational support within an international development consultancy. In return, the Chief Executive Officer will provide direct mentorship tailored to each intern’s specific interests. Interns will gain exposure to the consulting cycle from opportunity identification and capture research to technical approach design, proposal development, partner engagement, and analytical support. They will work closely with senior affiliates and global partners on a range of growth and proposal preparation activities. Most of Effaced’s work is in global health, with growing engagement in food security.
Your day-to-day work may include desk research, donor and competitor analysis, drafting proposal and expression of interest materials, supporting consultant team formation, preparing data calls, assisting with staffing recruitment, and improving internal knowledge systems and management tools. While some administrative tasks are inherent to any well-run organization, this internship is designed to emphasize substantive technical contributions to Effaced’s work across global health, food security, and international development. We are a team of curious, thoughtful professionals who value innovation, clarity, creativity, and strong analytical thinking. Interns will also have the opportunity to build meaningful professional relationships that may support future collaboration over the course of their careers.
Respect for one another is central to Effaced’s organizational culture. We encourage you to consider this internship if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, value attention to detail, are flexible, and share our commitment to integrity, collaboration, continuous learning, inclusion, service, and accountability.
