Internship Description

Logistics & Sales Support (Internship or Ongoing Part-Time)
Location: 100% Remote from your home office (U.S. based, work authorization required)
Compensation: $21/hour (Hourly, Non-Exempt)
Commitment: Full-Time Summer Internship (Minimum 30 hours/week) with potential to extend part-time through the school year, OR an ongoing Part-Time role for recent grads or students with flexible schedules.

Are you a college student or recent graduate looking to launch a career in supply chain management, logistics, or operations? Our Hybrid Logistics & Sales Support role offers comprehensive, hands-on experience designed to show you the inner workings of the global bulk ingredient supply chain.

In this unique hybrid role, you will shadow and support our Customer Service Managers (CSMs) and our Sales Assistants. You will split your week to master both sides of the business, learning complex supply chain operations while gaining valuable exposure to business-to-business (B2B) sales support.

Whether you are looking for a robust summer internship to kickstart your career, or an ongoing part-time role while you finish your degree, this position provides the tools, mentorship, and industry insights you need to succeed. Exceptional performers may be considered for future full-time advancement.

What You’ll Learn and Do

Logistics & Supply Chain Operations (With CSMs)
• Freight & Shipping: Learn to request freight quotes, calculate markups, and understand different shipping methods, truck types, and Inco terms.
• Warehouse Coordination: Manage warehouse appointment scheduling, release requests, inventory pulls, and specialized storage needs (like racking systems or heated truck blankets).
• Invoice Tracking: Reconcile warehouse invoices, submit completed invoice packets, and navigate import or inventory deals.
• Problem Solving: Learn how to handle freight claims and resolve active supply chain disruptions.
• System Tools: Get hands-on training with our CRM’s Scheduled Orders Portal, Pick Tickets, and Delivery Orders.
Sales Support & Administration (With Sales Assistants)
• Order Management: Learn how to write up complete and accurate sales orders, purchase orders, direct-ship orders, and inventory contracts.
• Document Control: Collect and analyze essential freight and food safety documents (BOLs, COAs) and utilize industry software like TraceGains.
• Sample Logistics: Process, track, and manage product sample requests and create shipping labels via FedEx and UPS.
• Risk Management: Learn inventory management, dashboard tracking, use storage/import calculators, and assist with vendor vetting and fraud prevention.

Who Should Apply?
We are looking for motivated College Juniors, Seniors, or Recent Graduates who:
• Are pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or General Business Administration, and…
• Have a strong interest in supply chain operations, logistics coordination, and/or sales support.
• Possess excellent MS Office Suite skills and are eager to master new proprietary industry software.
• Are highly detail-oriented, professional, and capable of working independently in a 100% remote environment.
• Have strong analytical skills, including the ability to read technical documents and perform basic math (weight conversions, metrics, fractions etc.).
• Can commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week during the summer, with the availability to work Pacific Time business hours.
