Internship Description

Nuumusic is a growing creative services company offering professional audio, video, and music production artists, businesses, and residential clients. Our studio services include studio rental, vocal recording, mixing and mastering, pre- and post-production audio, custom music production, and music production lessons designed to support artists, creators, and aspiring engineers at every stage of development.


Music Production & Studio Internship
Duration: 12 weeks
Dates: June 1 – August 21
Schedule: 8–12 hours per week
Compensation: $1,200 stipend (plus)
Work Format: Hybrid; on-site availability is required
This internship offers aspiring music and media professionals the opportunity to train and work alongside industry professionals in a hands-on studio environment. Interns will gain practical experience in industry-standard recording software, audio production, media creation, and creative collaboration while contributing to real studio projects.
In addition to the internship stipend, interns may have opportunities to earn additional income through recording sessions and mixing projects, as well as content revenue splits.


What You Will Learn
Interns will receive training and hands-on experience in:
• Pro Tools and industry-standard audio workflows
• Recording and mixing techniques
• Basic video filming and editing
• Studio operations and creative collaboration


Internship Structure
Each week may include up to:
• 4 hours of internship duties
• 4 hours of training and education
• 4 hours of collaboration


Internship Perks

Internship Duties
Intern responsibilities may include:
• Session musician
• Recording engineering assistance
• Naming, dating, and organizing files
• Video editing
• General studio support and assistance


Training and Education
Training and education sessions are required during the first two weeks of the internship and will continue on an as-needed basis throughout the program. Interns should plan to participate in at least four training and education sessions overall.


Collaboration Requirements
Collaboration sessions are mandatory and may include:
• Fully credited songwriting and production work
• Creation of social media content
• Planning and scheduling future collaborations


Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
• Be proficient in piano and/or guitar
• Demonstrate strong vocal technique
• Have a working knowledge of music theory
• Be currently pursuing, or have recently completed, a degree in music production, audio engineering, or media production
• Have skills in, or familiarity with, Pro Tools, Adobe Premiere, and Photoshop
• Have access to a personal laptop
• Be comfortable appearing on camera and participating in social media promotional content
• Be available to work in a hybrid environment, with reliable on-site availability as required
