Overview
As part of the Quiddity Internship Program, the Landscape Design Intern will gain hands-on experience across multiple phases of landscape architecture projects – from conceptual design through construction documentation. Interns will work closely with licensed landscape architects and multidisciplinary design professionals, contributing to projects that enhance communities and the built environment.
Responsibilities
• Support conceptual design development through sketching, diagramming, and digital modeling
• Prepare graphics and presentation materials using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and client discussions
• Attend site visits and assist with field observations and documentation
• Assist with project research, including site analysis, code review, and material selection
• Assist in the production of construction documents, including plans, details, and specifications
• Organize and maintain project files and digital resources
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support the landscape architecture team
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Landscape Architecture
• Completion of at least two (2) years toward a landscape architecture degree
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a collaborative design environment
• Ability to take initiative, ask questions, and contribute meaningfully to project outcomes
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with 3D modeling software such as SketchUp or Lumion is a plus
• Strong graphic communication skills; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus
• Familiarity with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) is a plus
