Job Description

The University of Denver in Denver, CO is a NCAA Division I university and has an opening for one Certified Athletic Training Internship to begin August 1st, 2026 through May 31st, 2027.

This is a non-benefitted position and not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

• Oversee the primary care coverage for Varsity teams as designated by the Director of Sports Medicine.
• Assist with the coordination of all physical examinations, medical insurance, and other medical administrative forms.
• Assist in the day to day operations of the training room.
• Assist with the development and implementation of the policies and procedures as related to the Sports Medicine Department.
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism which fosters growth of the department and a high perception of the division.



Required Qualifications

• NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer
• CPR/AED Certified

Pay Rate

The pay rate for this position is $2,000 a month. Competitive stipend provided for 10 month period as well as NATA/CATA and Colorado registration dues.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
